Today's automobiles require technicians with a strong knowledge of mechanics and computer technology. BCC's Miramar Center will become one the nation's leaders and provide training of automotive technicians for all of South Florida.
The Electronic Engineering Technology program on North Campus has been recognized as of the nation's best and helps meet the needs of employers on South Florida's Silicon Beach. Technology has changed radically since 1992, when this picture was taken.
BCC offers childcare programs for the children of its students and staff and offers outstanding programs in Early Childhood Education. Programs in Continuing Education offer classes for daycare providers.
BCC trains about 80 percent of the allied health workers in Broward County, from dental assistants and hygienists to physical therapy assistants, massage therapists, and technicians in a variety of fields such as diagnostic sonography and radiography.
In its 40-plus years, BCC has positioned itself as one of America's finest community colleges, but as a relatively young institution of higher learning, the sky is still the limit.
