Commencement ceremonies

Dr. A. J. Brumbaugh, director of the Southern Regional Education Board, was the speaker at the Junior College of Broward County commencement ceremony in December 1966.

BJC will be jammed to capacity when school begins next fall according to the director of admissions, Lee Trussler.

Junior College of Broward County awards Associates degrees for 136 graduates.

Eugene C. Patterson editor of the Atlanta Constitution will be the principal speaker at the second annual Commencement program.

Lois Gebert forgot to get fitted for cap and gown and would only receive one if someone did not meet graduation requirements then she would be able to use theirs. She was worried but went to inquire on any extra cap and gowns and discovered there was one she could use.

Speaker Dr. John Allen president of the University of South Florida, Tampa will be the speaker at the first commencement exercises of the Junior College of Broward County.
