Dr. Deborah Sloan, a counselor at South Campus, became the first BCC graduate to be named recipient of an endowed teaching chair from the BCC foundation in 1998.

BCC trains about 80 percent of the allied health workers in Broward County, from dental assistants and hygienists to physical therapy assistants, massage therapists, and technicians in a variety of fields such as diagnostic sonography and radiography.
